Description

Good evidence is now available for the positive effect of psychoanalytic therapies provided at differing phases of the life-cycle to NHS patients suffering from a range of depressive disorders.

This conference will offer a unique combination of in-depth clinical and research presentations, plus consideration of the role of briefer psychodynamic approaches, reviews of other key depression research, and discussions of topics such as suicide.

This conference will be a working event. There will be time for those attending to contribute fully to the discussions. A closing plenary panel will put together a view of how psychoanalytic therapies might improve what is offered to those suffering from depression and allied disorders, and assist in the development of our mental health services.

The conference is on Saturday 10 March 2018, with clinical workshops and research masterclasses on the evening of Friday 9 March, preceding the conference.

Keynote speakers will include: Peter Fonagy, Marianne Leuzinger-Bohleber, Felicitas Rost, Margaret Rustin, Mary Target, and David Taylor

Please note that space is limited at the workshops and masterclasses on Friday 9 March 2018, so early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.
