Description

The one day course will focus on how to diagnose and treat diseases of the nose and sinuses. The aim is to teach the mechanisms of upper airway disease and how sinonasal function becomes compromised as a result. The medical approach with treatment and how this compliments a surgical care pathway is emphasised. Clinical anatomy and function, immunology in relation to understanding disease mechanisms and novel treatment approaches such as immunotherapy will be covered topics. Specific topics such as upper airway aspects of immunodeficiency, immune dysregulation and vasculitis will be covered as specific topics.

 

Learning outcomes – Reaching a specific diagnosis, how to select appropriate treatment, when surgery is needed.
