It is a mixture of lectures, demos, hands on sessions and exercises.

Introducing digital images, bit depth, exposure, channels and histograms. How to open, analyse and manipulate these in ImageJ.

Exercises to get to grips with ImageJ basics.

Day 2) 10am - 4pm (breaks for Lunch and tea/coffee)

We will work on various exercises in image analysis, such as automatic cell counting, feature identification, cell tracking and colocalisation, with ImageJ and ICY. The afternoon session will be an introduction to macro writing. There will be a final optional session to look at your own image analysis projects, but places will be limited. Further time can be booked (free of charge) with the course organiser to look at users data.

It is advisable to bring your own laptop to work on the course exercises.
