Description

This session starts by exploring some core themes within the research from the Education Endowment Foundation, set up to provide evidence-informed information to help teachers close the attainment gap.

We will explore the research around how to structure group work to enable mixed-ability groupings and share strategies to reduce teacher-talk to enable more active, productive learning in KS1 and KS2. Collaborative learning and peer - peer talk will be core to this session, both as a topic and means of delivery.

The course lecturer will be Dr. Amelia Roberts, Deputy Director of UCL Centre for Inclusive Education.

This course will take place on Tuesday 19th June 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm at UCL Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, London, WC1H 0AL.

Course fee: £49
