Description

Continuing Professional Development – Dynamic Differentiation: Is it time to look again at formative assessment?

Pupils may respond differently in lessons according to tiredness, state of mind, type of activity and even teaching style. How can teachers unpick these to respond to pupil need while still maintaining the whole class and meeting lesson objectives?

This session will cover:

  • - An overview of effective High Quality Teaching to support pupils with SEND
  • - Redefining the focus on differentiation for special education practices, using a dynamic approach to responding to pupil need
  • - A range of open-access resources for schools to support professional learning in SEND including audits to assess teaching assistants' role and deployment

The course lecturer will be Dr. Amelia Roberts, Deputy Director of UCL Centre for Inclusive Education.

This course will take place on Wednesday 27th September 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm at UCL Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, London, WCH 0AL.

Course fee: £49
