Description

SWERL (Supporting Wellbeing, Emotional Resilience and Learning) is a Knowledge Exchange school development programme to support pupils with SEMH needs.

The Pilot Project has been significantly subsidised by the charity 'Invincible Me.' Schools will receive a day's training to share the research themes and resources, including a unique school audit to assess provision across six domains.  The domains are centred on a bio-psycho-social model of Mental Health and take a holistic view of child and school.

On the final day, schools share their findings with other schools, building a wider school community and creating case studies that feed back into the research evidence cycle via co-created knowledge.

Day 1 is Thursday 28th September 2017 and day 2 is Tuesday 22nd May 2018. SWERL requires a minimum of two key staff members: one decision-maker on the Senior Leadership Team and one enthusiastic practitioner working with children. Schools may bring up to 3 members of staff.
