DescriptionHomeless and Inclusion Health is a dynamic module delivered by UCL's Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care having been developed in partnership with the Faculty for Homeless and Inclusion Health (affiliated to Pathway). It offers an opportunity for those with an interest in excluded or hard-to-reach groups the chance to learn from world-class UCL researchers, experienced policy makers and service providers, and former/current members of these communities.
Delivered over seven weeks in Term 3, from 27 April to 8 June 2023, with in-person seminars on Thursday afternoons between 1-4pm (and online directed learning in the week preceding each in-person seminar), this unique module will appeal to medical/ healthcare, charity, governmental and voluntary sector professionals looking to expand their knowledge of this important area. As a taster course student, you will attend lectures and seminars and undertake the assessment. If you pass the assessment at the first attempt, you will receive a Grade Report and are eligible to receive UCL credit (APL credit). What are the differences between short and taster courses?
Participants who complete Homeless and Inclusion Health as a short course receive a certificate of attendance, but they are not assessed and therefore do not receive UCL credit. Participants who successfully complete Homeless and Inclusion Health as a taster course, and pass the assessment at the first attempt, receive a Grade Report and are eligible to receive UCL credit (APL credit). Taster credits must be applied to a postgraduate programme within five academic years of taking the taster course.
