DescriptionCognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) Training with Dr Banika Ahuja Online Course Thursday 8th January 2026, 8:00– 15:00 GMT Online via Zoom What is Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST)? CST is an evidence-based group treatment for people with mild to moderate dementia. It involves 14 or more sessions of stimulating, themed activities, based around more complex principles including learning theory and person-centred care. CST can be extended into a longer-term treatment and can be offered to a range of clients including outpatients and people in residential or day care. What does the training involve? Training is interactive, involving group exercises, role-play and video observation as well as some ‘teaching’. It is aimed to equip people with the knowledge required to deliver group CST in their work setting.

More InformationWho is the trainer? Dr. Banika Ahuja (she/her) is an HCPC-registered clinical psychologist. Born in India, her academic journey in psychology spans an undergraduate degree in psychology at Delhi University (India), an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London (UCL), UK. Currently, Banika serves as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist with the NHS and an Honorary Lecturer at UCL as an international CST trainer. Course Aim: To give learners an overview of how to deliver Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST). This interactive course will include a background to CST and how it can be used, an overview of research, and detailed presentation of the treatment including video footage and role-play.
