Research Department of Targeted Intervention

The Research Department of Targeted Intervention brings together clinicians and scientists to develop highly targeted novel imaging, sensing, management, and energy base.

We are creating unique image-guided diagnosis and therapy centres which combine clinical translational expertise in tissue and energy with medical bioengineering expertise within the UCL Department of Engineering. This will enable us to develop novel, minimally invasive surgeries and other medical interventions.

Our work

Each of our research areas has an interest in minimally invasive approaches, innovative technologies, and biomarkers of risk, for use in diagnosis and therapy. From bench to bedside, we are involved in the very earliest proof of concept studies within the laboratory, right through to large clinical trials on the hospital ward.

4th October 2024: 10:00-13:00: Introduction to Rapid Research & Evaluation Delivered by Prof Cecilia Vindrola.

 

11th October 2024: 10:00-12:00: Introduction to Rapid Ethnographies Delivered by Prof Cecilia Vindrola.

 

24th October 2024: 13:30-15:00:  Rapid Evidence & Policy Review Delivered by Dr Norha Vera San Juan.

 

1st November 2024: 11:00-14:00: Rapid Qualitative Data Analysis Delivered by Dr Norha Vera San Juan.

 

6th November 2024: 10:00-12:00: Introduction to Big Qualitative Data Methods Delivered by Dr Sam Martin.

 

8th November 2024: 11.00-12.30: Rapid Evidence & Policy Review
