Division of Surgery and Interventional Science (D16)![]() Division of Surgery and Interventional Sciences The Division of Surgery and Interventional Science is one of six Divisions and Institutes located within the UCL Faculty of Medical Sciences. The Division integrates basic, translational and clinical research through academic and clinical collaborations both within and outside of UCL with NHS Trusts (including University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), the Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust, the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (RNOH), and Whittington Health), the Department of Health, the Northwick Park Institute for Medical Research and the Royal Veterinary College. Cross-faculty research within UCL is vital to the mission of the Division. The Division considers research and teaching of equal importance and fosters a culture of synergy, where pioneering research should inform the provision of teaching. Having each of the Division’s research themes physically located at a partner hospital allows for students to work and study directly alongside scientists and clinicians, offering an enhanced research and teaching experience. The prostate cancer-management pathway is moving towards image-guided diagnosis and treatment. This course will provide interactive teaching from a world-renowned faculty in prostate MRI interpretation. It will equip you to be able to use MRI in the management of patients with prostate cancer and run an image-guided service. This year the course will be run virtually to widen access to potential participants during the COVID-19 pandemic.
