C31 CLIE Language Course - 10 Weeks 2023/24DescriptionThe CLIE offers a wide range of language courses which form part of the adult learning programme and are opened to all participants. Courses offered French, German, Modern Greek, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin and Spanish. Course Information Please note that these courses are now being held EITHER Online OR on campus. The Evening Course Programme is designed to teach participants how to communicate effectively in a foreign language. Whether for professional or personal reasons, an Evening Course can provide the means to achieve fluency in a chosen language. All four skills are taught - reading, writing, listening and speaking* - with particular emphasis on oral communication. Courses cover the language as it is spoken today in everyday situations, from basic survival skills at beginner's level through to fluent communication at advanced levels. Formal and informal registers are taught using contemporary and cultural references of the chosen country.
