Global Business School for Health (DH8)Global Business School for Health (DH8)DH8 Global Healthcare Leadership for Women 21-22 May 2026DescriptionThe healthcare sector stands at a critical crossroads, facing unprecedented challenges in workforce sustainability, patient care equity, and systemic transformation. Despite women comprising the majority of the global healthcare workforce, they remain significantly underrepresented in executive and decision-making roles. This leadership gap not only limits the potential of healthcare systems but also hinders the development of inclusive, patient-centred solutions. Global Healthcare Leadership for Women is designed in response to this urgent need. It aims to equip mid- to senior-level women professionals with the strategic, operational, and interpersonal skills required to lead with impact in complex healthcare environments. This programme recognises the unique barriers women face in leadership pathways and provides a transformative platform to overcome them through mentorship, evidence-based leadership frameworks, and real-world application.
DH8 Global Study Tour: SingaporeDescriptionThink Like a Health System Architect Most health systems were never truly designed; they evolved over time through crises, politics and compromise. This has led to familiar pressures such as rising costs, overstretched workforces, and increasing demand that outpaces capacity.
Singapore offers a different perspective. It has treated healthcare as a design challenge rather than a legacy system. The results are notable: high life expectancy, relatively low costs, and a strong life sciences ecosystem centred around Biopolis that attracts global talent and investment. It has also supported innovation, including globally scaled surgical robotics, and adopted a sovereign investment approach that views community health as essential infrastructure.
Despite these strengths, Singapore still faces challenges seen worldwide, including an ageing population, climate pressures, and the balance between cost, access and quality. What makes it valuable to study is not perfection, but its disciplined and transparent approach to tackling complex problems.
