The Healthcare Entrepreneurship Summer School is a five-day intensive summer programme hosted by UCL Global Business School for Health. It is designed for pharmacy students, international pharmacy students and early-career pharmacists and Health professionals who want to develop the business, leadership, innovation and entrepreneurial capabilities needed to work effectively in modern healthcare systems.

The programme combines UCL GBSH’s distinctive focus on health, healthcare management and leadership with a practical student experience: expert-led sessions, applied innovation work, a company or innovation-hub visit, one networking dinner and a Dragon’s Den-style final pitch competition.

The proposed model is deliberately intensive, applied and outcome-focused. Participants will leave with stronger commercial awareness, leadership confidence, innovation methods, presentation capability and a clearer understanding of career pathways beyond traditional pharmacy practice.

Despite women comprising the majority of the global healthcare workforce, they remain significantly underrepresented in executive and decision-making roles. Global Healthcare Leadership for Women is designed in response to this urgent need. Over two days, participants will tackle real-world leadership challenges through case studies, simulations, and group coaching, learning to harness AI responsibly, govern digital transformation, and design human-centred systems. Drawing on research from UCL Global Business School for Health and insights from leaders at Google Health, WHO, the NHS, and more, this intensive, reflective programme will reshape your leadership mindset and behaviour for the digital age. 

The Strategic Leadership in Healthcare Bootcamp is an intensive, high-impact executive education programme designed for senior healthcare leaders who are ready to transform how they think and act strategically in complex and rapidly changing health systems.

With a strong focus on practical application, over four two-week modules delivered online, you will gain essential knowledge and tools to drive transformative results in your workplace.

This eight week programme will support you to:

• Learn about health assessment techniques as well as a breadth of theory about Value-Based Healthcare and models for calculating value, looking at real case studies and learn about the current issues facing commissioners and decision makers.
• Learn how to implement value-based payment systems effectively, exploring topics such as outcome-based payments and pricing innovations to get market access.
• Acquire decision science skills to make data-driven, patient-focused decisions, aimed at gaining value for healthcare organisations.
