Mathematical General Relativity

F59 British Isles Graduate Workshop VI: Minimal Surfaces

Description

The BIG Workshop: Minimal surfaces will be held 1st -5th September 2025 in Totland, Isle of Wight. It is targeted at PhD students and postdocs but is open for application from all. The goal is for junior researchers to work together with experienced mentors for a week. The format of the workshop is that three mentors propose three topics, split into six talks each. Participants sign up to give the talks. The atmosphere during the workshop is supportive, encouraging, and collaborative.

F59 De Morgan Dinner 2025

Description

The annual De Morgan Association Dinner for the UCL Mathematics Department will be held on Friday 6 June 2025 in Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HU. The dinner will be at 7:30pm in MacMillan Hall. There will be pre-dinner drinks at 6:45pm in Beveridge Hall.

Senate House is accessible via Store Street. There are a limited number of disabled car parking spaces available which can be reserved for you if you hold a Blue Badge.

Reservations are made on a first-come-first-served basis. Please indicate when booking your place at the dinner if you would like a disabled car parking space reserved for you. You will then be emailed separately to confirm whether or not you have been reserved a space. 

Please note, this event is by invitation only, and is for members of UCL Mathematics Department alumni, 3rd- and 4th-year Mathematics undergraduate students, Mathematics postgraduate students, members of Mathematics Department staff and other invited guests.
