F59 British Isles Graduate Workshop VII: Geometric Variational Problems

Description

This seventh edition of British Isles Graduate Workshop (BIGW) will be in Devon, from the 24th to the 28th of August 2026. The format of the workshop is that three mentors propose three topics, split into six talks each, and participants sign up to give the talks. Accepted participants are required to pay a registration fee of £120.

 

If you have been accepted to this conference, and would like to participate, please pay the registration fee using the validation code sent to you by email. After paying the registration fee, accommodation in shared rooms and full board will be provided without extra cost during the workshop.

200 Years of Mathematics

F59 200 Years of Mathematics at UCL

Description

Join us for an exciting event celebrating 200 years of Mathematics at UCL with our mathematics symposium featuring VIP guests, including Hannah Fry, Nira Chamberlain and Christina Pagel. Learn more about the intriguing research happening in UCL Mathematics via our interactive research exhibitions where you can find out about machine learning, maths in healthcare and more.

 

Please note that the Event will be held in the Cruciform Building - Lecture Theatre 1 & Wilkins Building - North Cloisters.

 

Complementary food and refreshments will be available from approximately 13:00 (while supplies last). More information will be provided closer to the time for ticketholders. Please note that food and drink are not permitted inside Lecture Theatres, so please plan your visit with these restrictions in mind.

 

All proceeds from ticket sales will go toward supporting UCL students who are encountering financial difficulty from relevant hardship funds.
