It is targeted at PhD students and postdocs but is open for application from all. The goal is for junior researchers to work together with experienced mentors for a week. The format of the workshop is that three mentors propose three topics, split into six talks each. Participants sign up to give the talks. F59 The 21st European Finite Element FairDescriptionThe European Finite Element Fair (EFEF) is an annual series of completely informal small workshops throughout Europe with equal initial conditions for each speaker. EFEF provides a platform for high-level discussions on current research on finite element approximation, in the broadest sense, of partial differential equations.
This will take place on 21-22 June 2024.
F59 De Morgan Dinner 2024DescriptionThe annual De Morgan Association Dinner for the UCL Mathematics Department will be held on Friday 7 June 2024 in the Jeremy Bentham Room (JBR) at UCL (Gower Street, London WC1E 6BT). The dinner will be at 7:30pm in the JBR. There will be pre-dinner drinks at 6:45pm in the JBR.

17th June – ECR Half Day: Modelling and computational skills, career talks from fluid mechanics researchers in industry, flash talks from attendees, plus an optional evening dinner for ECRs and invited speakers. 18th June – All Career Stage Meeting.
