The 21^st International Workshop includes national and international speakers working in key areas relevant to Cardiovascular Biology and Medicine, in both the experimental setting and in areas of translational biology and clinical trials.

The themes of this year’s meeting focus on hot topics in cardiovascular biology and translational medicine and centres on advances in cardiovascular tissue regeneration, cardiovascular system regeneration strategies and the maturation of engineered cardiac tissues.  Vascular remodelling and malfunction in cardiovascular disease focusing on cerebral blood flow and dementia, aspects of vascular smooth muscle cell pathobiology in atherosclerosis and lessons from developmental biology. Predicting cardiovascular dysfunction, translational studies in cardiac arrythmia and heart failure, and exploring advanced imaging modalities for vascular and congenital heart disease. The final session is devoted to modelling pulmonary hypertension (PH) across scales and includes complex disease models to advances understanding of the cell and molecular pathological mechanisms, Image-based computational models for diagnosis and new insights into PH and heart failure and novel therapeutic approaches.
