DescriptionA half-day online course for researchers, students and practitioners, equipping participants to design engaging, ethical and high-quality surveys for children and young people.
As children and young people’s voices play an increasingly important role in shaping research, policy and practice, there is growing demand for high-quality surveys that capture their experiences. This practical half-day course equips participants with the knowledge and tools needed to design engaging, reliable and ethically robust surveys for younger populations.
Focusing on the three essential pillars of survey design, engagement, measurement and ethics, the course provides step-by-step guidance on reaching diverse groups of children and young people, creating age-appropriate questionnaires, and addressing issues such as consent, confidentiality and safeguarding.
Combining cutting-edge research with practical insights from the world-renowned Millennium Cohort Study, the course offers a rare opportunity to learn from real-life examples of best practice. Participants will leave with the confidence to design surveys that amplify young people's voices, generate high-quality data and support meaningful research, policy and evaluation outcomes.
