DescriptionA face-to-face one-day course introducing Performing Arts Medicine (PAM) through talks and interactive sessions on a variety of topics in this emerging field of medicine. It is aimed at health professionals, stage performers, and students and staff in health sciences and performance academies. Topics such as assessment, performance psychology, occupational risk factors, injuries and rehabilitation of performers are presented. Scientific research on Performing Arts Medicine is discussed along with options in PAM careers.

Every year a selected group of speakers gives themed talks on aspects of Performing Arts Medicine in order for our attendees to build up a useful portfolio of PAM knowledge over time.
