Medical image computing & surgical sciences is a core theme of research at University College London (UCL) with internationally recognised activities crossing multiple Centres, Institutes and Departments, and covering a wide variety of modalities, devices, theory and applications.

For the MedICSS 2025 Summer School we hope to allow young scientists from the international community to engage with the experts in a diverse range of image computing & surgical science topics and learn about the state-of-the-art in the field. As well as lectures by scientific leaders, (for the In-person option) we will promote activity-based learning through interactive breakout sessions which will foster new links of collaboration, critical thinking and scientific discovery.

Taking advantage of London’s position as a global city and international travel hub, we invite applications to MedICSS 2025 especially from gifted doctoral students, who wish to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of medical image computing research and systems. The scientific content of MedICSS 2025 will be delivered in-person (i.e., lectures and projects) and includes some social catered events.
