APT 2022

C29 20th Academic Practice & Technology Conference (APT2022)

Shaping academic practice for the new decade.

The 20th Academic Practice and Technology (APT2022) conference will take place on Friday 1st July 2022. The conference will be hosted on the UCL London Bloomsbury campus, and it will be preceded by streamed events and presentations that will be made available on our website.

This annual conference, co-hosted by UCL, LSE and Imperial College London, will return to ‘in person’ mode but with online elements.

The design of the conference will maximise the benefits of face-to-face methods using high engagement and participation activities such as workshops, round tables and open space dialogue to discuss and reflect on ideas and further develop our APT community. We will invite attendees to engage with asynchronous resources and use them as a starting point for real-time activities at the live in-person event.

Focusing on 4 main sub-themes: inclusion and exclusion in the new normal; building communities and networks; the promise of current and emerging technologies in shaping the university of the future; technology, pedagogy and assessment.  Participants are invited to critically reflect and explore ways in which they are developing their practice using technology. Through a range of discussion and interactive formats, the event will showcase and celebrate examples of academic practice that can inspire academic and professional services staff.
