KA7 Identifying & Supporting Children With Developmental Language Disorder In The ClassroomInfo Location Contact Event Information![]()
DescriptionDLD is a common yet often hidden condition, affecting approximately two children in every classroom. Because DLD cannot be seen, it is frequently overlooked or misunderstood. Children with DLD experience difficulties with understanding and using spoken language, which can significantly affect their learning, social relationships, and emotional well-being. The webinar will be led by Dr Juhayna Taha and will cover: • An overview of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) – what it is and why it often goes unrecognised. • Key red flags to help identify children who may have DLD. • How DLD manifests in educational settings, including its impact on learning, social relationships, and behaviour. • Practical classroom strategies to help create language-supporting classroom environments for all children, especially those with speech, language and communication needs (including DLD). This event will take place on Zoom 5pm to 6pm on Tuesday 21st October 2025. Cost: £10
