Description37th Head Group Meeting The Head Group Meeting organised by Dr Patrizia Ferretti will take place on Monday 7th April 2025 in the Kennedy Lecture Theatre at UCL Institute of Child Health, 30 Guilford Street, London WC1N 1EH.
As in previous years this will be a single day meeting with one paper from each contributing laboratory (preferably given by a postgrad/postdoc).
The meeting will end with the Peter Thorogood Memorial Lecture.
Registration
Oral Presentations: If you wish to present your work (20 minutes slot, 15 minutes presentation plus 5 minutes discussion), please register by filling out the appropriate section on this booking page and then emailing the title and abstract of your presentation and your full affiliation to Tathiana Santana ([email protected]) by 14th March 2025. Please remember that slots are allocated on a "first come first serve basis". Hence, early registration is recommended.
Registration fee: £37 includes a Meeting Abstract Booklet, refreshment breaks, lunch and event administration. Payment to be made in advance only by credit/debit card on this booking page.
Payments can cover the contribution for all the participants from the same laboratory, but full names of all registrants must be provided. Please note that registration is complete only upon payment.

Background
Following the 1987 BSDB Meeting on "Craniofacial Development" organised by Peter Thorogood and Cheryll Tickle, the organisers and other colleagues (Andrew Lumsden, Mark Ferguson, Gudrun Moore, Alisdair Ivens, Julian Lewis and Gillian Morriss-Kay) decided to start holding annual informal meetings to increase communication between laboratories working on various aspects of the development of the head, to offer the opportunity to young scientists to present their work in a friendly and stimulating environment and promote collaborative research. The group has met annually since 1989, and the initial number of participants, about 20 people, rose very rapidly through word of mouth with more groups asking to be included in the mailing list. Over the last few years there have always been over one hundred people attending the Meeting. | |||||||||||||||
