DescriptionArtificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the legal world, offering new ways to improve access to justice and increase efficiency. But as exciting as AI may be, it raises serious challenges. In this course, you'll explore the fascinating intersection between AI and law, tackling key issues like robot judges, algorithmic decision-making, document automation, and AI-powered chatbots. We'll dive into the ethical dilemmas surrounding AI, including concerns about confidentiality, accountability, and bias. You'll also explore strategies to promote the responsible and ethical use of AI in the legal sector. The course will cover global approaches to AI regulation, focusing on the UK, EU, and US, and review recent initiatives like the EU AI Act and international efforts to govern AI, including the AI Convention, and evaluate how laws can keep up with rapid tech advancements.
